D’Aguliar Art Foundation- Solaris Show

Shining in the Dark Sky

Gouache on Khadi Paper

30” x 22”

Nassau 2024

In The Day’s Sky

Gouache on Khadi Paper

30” x 22”

London, Lewisham 2023

The paintings were inspired by the movement of the people and my state of mind during my 2023 travels, where I traveled to over 12 countries throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas. The Bahamas is a place of constant inspiration as the people and the environment are filled with colorful expression. These two paintings are Bahamian focused and are part of a wider collection called The Place I Once Travelled.

The D’Aguilar Art Foundation History

The D’Aguilar Art Foundation (DAF), launched in 2008, is the culmination of Vincent D’Aguilar’s vision for Bahamian art. The Foundation seeks to preserve and expand the collection, to promote appreciation and education of fine art and provide support for Bahamian-based artists.

Sold Pieces

Shining in the Dark Sky sold on Opening Night, the exhibit of the show led to the selling of another painting of the series Metals.
